It was a new venue for the Millers with their first ever visit to the impressive New Meadow and they shared the points with their opponents.

Mark Hudson returned to the starting line up in very windy conditions and a bouncy pitch with United the first to show when Derek Holmes knocked on a throw but nothing come of it while at the other end Andy Warrington saved a shot from Constable.

Then Joe Widdowson crossed for Ryan Taylor to hit a 20 yarder wide and as the Millers kept up the pressure Chris O'Grady fired over the bar from 25 yards.

Town then forced two corners and from the second Warrington pulled off a good save from Langmead's header turning the ball onto the post before it was cleared.

Back came United again for Marc Joseph to have a cross knocked down to Hudson whose shot was saved and then following a corner Graham Coughlan headed down for Hudson to see his shot saved.

As United kept up the pressure to dominate the proceedings a Hudson free kick was headed out and when Pablo Mills delivered a free kick Holmes got on the end of it but nothing resulted.

A poor ball from former Millers Colin Murdoch let Joseph in but he wasted the chance by dragging his shot wide and after two home corners had been dealt with back came the Millers again in a quick break but Taylor fired over the bar from 30 yards.

The Rotherham pressure paid dividends on 36 minutes when Hudson hit a fine free kick to the far post to find Mills who headed home for his first goal of the season.

Hudson then saw his shot saved by the keeper but it was all square on 43 minutes when Town's Constable quickly took a free kick to catch out the Rotherham defence and Davies levelled matters with a shot that gave Warrington no chance.

Three minutes into the second half Cooke scored for Town but he was well offside and the Millers replied with Hudson shooting wide before Taylor had a shot saved.

Warrington did well to catch a corner while Rotherham could make nothing of a 63rd minute flag kick and a minute later Taylor almost got on the end of a Joseph cross.

Mills was just wide with a 20 yarder and the Millers almost took the lead when Ian Sharps fired just over the bar from a corner.

Back came Town for McIntyre to waste a promising chance by firing wide from 20 yards after being set up by Pugh and Hudson shot over the bar in a quick reply.

Hudson was in the thick of the action again when he linked with O'Grady to hit a 20 yarder just wide, Warrington saved from Cooke and in the last minute a Mills cross flashed in front of goal with no one on hand to get on the end of it as the honours were shared.
