A Chat With Stephen Brogan
Stephen Brogan has taken another major step in his re-habilitation from the double leg fracture he suffered in the 1-1 draw against MK Dons back in February.
Brogan is making steady progress and last week he started to walk for the first time without the aid of his crutches:
"I came off the crutches four days ago and I am glad to get rid of them, said the 20-year-old.
"I am not quite walking, it's more like limping but it is coming on well. Hopefully a few more weeks down the line I should be a lot more comfortable and back on track."
Brogan has been forced into a watching brief since the injury and he admitted that he has found it hard to watch his team mates in action:
"I hate watching football but it is not so bad now that the team is winning again, he said.
"It is not always easy to watch the games but its good to show your face and to stay part of the team."
Brogan was in the crowd last Saturday to witness the Millers second win on the bounce and he was impressed with the team performance:
"I thought that the lads played well, especially in the first half when we passed the ball nicely, and with the club in its present situation it was great to see some smiling faces at the ground again."
It has been nearly three months since the injury and Brogan is looking to be back in a Rotherham shirt before the end of the year:
"At the time of the injury they said that I would be out for around nine months, he said.
"There are no specific dates set for a comeback but it should be around December, so I am targeting getting back for the middle of next season. If I can get back any time before that then it is going to be a bonus."
