Millers To Train At The keepmoat Stadium
The Keepmoat Stadium will be the training base for the Millers for the 2008/09 season.
Rotherham, will use the facilities at Doncaster's community stadium for an initial ten-month period after agreeing terms with the Stadium Management Company on Monday (June 16).
The deal, which comes into effect on July 1, means Rotherham have access to grass and 3G pitches at the venue, as well as the fitness suite, physiotherapy, catering and Soccer Centre changing provisions.
Gavin Baldwin, chief executive of the Keepmoat Stadium Management Company, said: "We are delighted to provide a training base for Rotherham United."
"They are a South Yorkshire club of great tradition and we are able to supply first class facilities to suit their needs for the coming season."
John Breckin said," its not ideal moving out of Rotherham and it's sad to leave our training ground at Hooton Lodge but the facilities are second to none at the Keepmoat and the lads will really look forward to training there, we have trained at the Keepmoat stadium on several occasions and they know what to expect."
"The staff at Doncaster have been great and have really looked after us in every way."
Rotherham United's youth teams will also use the pitches at the Keepmoat Stadium.
