The Millers make the trip to Sincil Bank to play Lincoln on Saturday looking to bounce back from the home defeat to Milton Keynes.
Despite the 1-0 loss Rotherham are still in the automatic promotion places and are three points clear of Chesterfield in fourth. The result last Saturday was only the Millers fourth defeat of the season and Rotherham still has the second best home record in the division. The Millers have not lost on their travels for seven games, with the last defeat away from home coming at the end of September. In the 11 away games played, Rotherham have only conceded seven goals, which is the fewest number conceded by an away team in League Two this season.
Lincoln are currently in 21st position in League Two, but are fresh from last weeks 2-0 win at in-from Rochdale. The win at Spotland was the Imps first victory in four league matches and was only their second clean sheet all season. Lincoln's home record this campaign has been poor, with the Imps only winning three games out of 12 at Sincil Bank.
The last time the Millers visited Lincoln was in 1999. On that occasion Lincoln won 2-1, with Paul Warne grabbing a last minute consolation goal for Rotherham. The last time Rotherham were victorious at Sincil Bank was back in 1997, when a late Jason White goal gave the Millers a 1-0 win.
Overall the teams have met 70 times in league football, the Millers have won 35 times, Lincoln 25 times and 20 games have ended in a draw.
If Peter Holmes features on Saturday then he will be playing against one of his former clubs. Holmes had a loan spell at Lincoln last year and played five games for the Imps in all competitions.
