Rotherham United will play host to Lincoln City this weekend for the first time since 1999/2000 season.

The Millers will be looking to end a run of five games without a win and record their first home victory since the 3-0 win over Macclesfield on New Years Day. Rotherham will be buoyed by their record over Lincoln in recent seasons. Since the 1976/77 season the two sides have come up against each other on 21 occasions and in that time Rotherham have only been beaten twice. The last time Lincoln visited Millmoor they came away with a point. Rotherham had gone in front on the stroke of half time through Darren Garner, but Paul Smith equalised seven minutes later to ensure the points were shared. The Millers have been dominant over Lincoln at home; with the last time the Imps recording a win at Millmoor coming in December 1957. Both teams were playing in the Old Second Division at the time and Lincoln took the points with a 2-1 victory.

Lincoln come to Millmoor on a five match winning streak which has eased their relegation fears and has now pushed them up to 14th place in League Two. The Imps away form this season has been inconsistent. On the road they have won six times recording notable victories over Stockport and Rochdale but their nine defeats away from Sincil Bank leaves them with only the 15th best away record in the division. In attack they boast one of the most consistent goal scorers in the lower leagues with Jamie Forrester having netted 10 times in league and cup this season. The Imps will be seeking revenge after Rotherham's 3-1 win at Sincil Bank earlier in the season.

If Peter Holmes is selected tomorrow for Rotherham then he will come up against one of his former clubs. Holmes represented Lincoln between February and April 2007 whilst he was on loan from Luton Town. In that time he played five league games for the Imps.
